The story is about a young man named 'Chengilla' who was born in a poor family from a small village called Arakalapalli. He had been raised by his uncle 'Ibbayya'. His uncle envied him for being an intelligent and beautiful lad, who had been presented with many opportunities because of his prominent eyes. He was also very fond of Snakes, especially Nagaraju, who was his pet. The latter's name means "Lonely Snake". All the villagers 'hated' him for the fear he causes them. He was always busy at night to protect snakes from snakes' hunters. Chengilla's childhood had been a happy one with his friends and cousins, especially Nagaraju. One day, during his teenage stage Cheggilla met with an accident and lost his eyesight. He was now completely blind both eyes. His uncle now brought him to the home of the people who had once driven away from their family because of Cheggillla's magical powers. cfa1e77820
